NLaG chose Insource as strategic data management partner – initially as unified data foundation across three hospitals and community services
Reading & Scunthorpe, UK – 25 July 2022: Insource Ltd, the leading data management provider to the NHS, is delighted to have been chosen by Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust (NLaG) as its foundational data management platform and ultimately as a joint strategic solution in its move towards shared digital services with partner Trust Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.
As part of the Digital Aspirant programme and in line with the Humber Acute Services Programme, this strategic decision will deliver a significant upgrade to the ageing data infrastructure within NLaG. As a first step, the Insource data management platform, Health Data Enterprise (HDE), will extract data from the three hospitals managed by the trust – Diana Princess of Wales, Grimsby; Scunthorpe General Hospital, and Goole and District Hospital – and combine it with the SystmOne community services data to deliver a single complete version of the truth of all patient pathway interactions with the Trust. HDE creates fully validated, standardised, unified data for trust-wide care coordination, BI and analytics, and statutory reporting.
HDE, which will be provided as a managed service on the Microsoft Azure platform, will release existing analytics staff from time-consuming data warehouse management and system development tasks, enabling them to refocus efforts on Trust BI and analytics activities.
